Earth Day

Earth Day began on April 22nd in 1970, initially with the ideas of Gaylord Nelson and Denis Hayes. Earth Day is one of the most recognized observances of our present time. It presents awareness and demonstrates support of preservation, conservation and sustainability by maintaining and promoting the beauty and balance of our planet and being wise stewards of the numerous resources that have been bestowed upon us, simply by being inhabitants of Earth. Earth Day may be approached by many as not just a day of how to better care for our planet; it’s a celebration of gratitude for what is already established on Earth that no other planet readily has prepared for our survival at the present time. This is why preservation and care is important. Understanding that many have different experiences and circumstances in life, there are possibly some ways that anyone can apply Earth Day in their everyday life without stressing to be a perfect steward, because there’s no such individual and that’s ok.
