Apple and Oats Recipe

Main Ingredients


One and a half cups of oats, use old-fashioned oats

Two peeled, cored, and diced apples

Two cups of apple cider

Two cups of coconut milk or milk of choice

A half cup of maple syrup


Additional Ingredients


One tablespoon of brown sugar

One and three-fourths teaspoons of pure vanilla extract

Three-fourths teaspoon of cinnamon (ground)

One-fourth teaspoon of nutmeg (ground)


Note


A few sliced almonds, chopped pecans, walnuts, raisins, or dates can be placed over servings. Finely slice and chop the toppings to avoid a choking hazard.


Instructions


This recipe can be completed with a Crockpot or slow cooker by applying a cooking spray of choice to the entire interior surface of the cooker.


Each ingredient, excluding the toppings, should be placed inside the Crockpot or slow cooker.


Thoroughly stir all ingredients inside the Crockpot or slow cooker.


Place the lid on the Crockpot or slow cooker and cook for six to eight hours using a low temperature setting.


Thoroughly stir before serving.


Place the serving in a bowl or servings in bowls, allow the food to safely cool, and sprinkle toppings of choice before eating.
